About this project

Q-Mart The smartest storefront and business operating system for WhatsApp micro-merchants in Ghana, powered by secure Moolre payments and disbursements. In Ghana, over 5 million micro-merchants use WhatsApp as their primary sales channel. However, they face three critical friction points: 1. Administrative Chaos: Managing stock level changes, customer contact lists, unpaid credit ledgers, and pre-orders entirely in unstructured chat threads leads to costly operational mistakes. 2. High-Friction Checkout: Sending manual mobile money numbers in chats requires buyers to copy numbers, compute transfer fees, initiate manual USSD dial codes, and send screenshots for confirmation. This process suffers from high cart abandonment rates. 3. Manual Payout Splits & Settling: Manually tracking cash flow, calculating platform commissions, and routing payouts across different carrier networks (MTN, Telecel, AT) consumes hours of manual labor weekly. Q-Mart transforms a seller's WhatsApp hustle into a structured, automated retail business. In under 60 seconds, a merchant signs up, configures their details, and generates a fast, lightweight online catalog (qmart.store/c/your-shop). The Buyer Journey: Customers visit the catalog, add products to their cart, and select Moolre Mobile Money. Q-Mart automatically calculates transaction fees and generates a secure checkout page. Once the customer enters their PIN, the order is locked. The Merchant Journey: Merchants manage inventory, view interactive revenue analytics, track pre-orders, and monitor outstanding customer credit. On the dashboard, a secure platform wallet collects storefront earnings. Merchants can withdraw their balance directly to MTN, Telecel, or AT Money with one click, utilizing Moolre's payment routing. Additionally, a Gemini-powered AI support assistant is embedded in the portal to guide merchants through onboarding, setting up payments, and managing credit reminders. Q-Mart implements a secure, closed-loop transaction pipeline using three distinct Moolre API integrations served through serverless backend functions to protect API keys: 1. Moolre Hosted Payment Link API (POST /embed/link): - Integration: Triggered at storefront checkout. The backend calculates the final payment amount (including transaction fee buffers), generates a unique reference id (externalref), and generates a tokenized payment checkout page. - Security: Handled server-side in a secure Deno edge runtime using X-API-USER and X-API-PUBKEY. 2. Moolre Webhooks (POST /functions/v1/moolre-webhook): - Integration: Receives callback payloads from Moolre upon transaction success. Automatically verifies the payload signature, matches the externalref to the corresponding database sale record, updates payment status, triggers real-time in-app alerts, and automates instant payouts. 3. Moolre Transfer API (POST /open/transact/transfer): - Integration: Used for merchant withdrawals. Q-Mart identifies the carrier network (MTN, Telecel, or AT) using the recipient prefix and executes a secure disbursement directly to the merchant's personal MoMo wallet. 1. Immediate Market Fit: It targets the massive, underserved WhatsApp retail sector in West Africa without requiring users to download complex apps. 2. Transactional Security: The client never touches or sees API keys. All payment logic, callback verification, and routing calculations are executed securely in serverless edge runtimes. 3. True Automation: We close the loop from purchase to merchant payout automatically. The merchant does not have to copy screenshots or manually verify bank alerts; Moolre handles the validation, and Q-Mart handles the business state. Frontend: React 18, Vite, Tailwind CSS, Lucide icons, self-hosted Flaticon assets. Database & Auth: Supabase (PostgreSQL with RLS policy scoping). Backend Runtimes: Supabase Edge Functions (Deno) & Vercel Serverless Functions. APIs: Moolre Payment & Disbursement APIs, Google Gemini 1.5 Flash API (AI Support).
