05 / Questions

Frequently Asked

What is the Moolre Startup Cup?

A four-month buildathon that runs June–September 2026. Teams build real digital products on Moolre's API ecosystem — Collections, Disbursements, and USSD — and compete for GHS 245,000 in prizes across twenty awards.

Who can participate?

Any team based in Ghana, from solo founders to small squads. Students, professionals, and existing startups are all welcome to register.

What do I need to submit?

A completed submission form, a working demo, and a one-minute explainer video showing how your product leverages Moolre — for example, using Collections for checkout or Bulk Disbursements for payroll.

How are winners chosen?

Public votes narrow the field down to the Top 10 finalists. Those ten then pitch live across three weekends in front of a panel of Moolre representatives and Ghanaian tech leaders, who choose the final winners.

What's the prize pool?

GHS 245,000 total. GHS 80,000 for 1st, 50,000 for 2nd, 30,000 for 3rd, 5,000 each for 4th through 10th, plus ten auxiliary category awards of 5,000 each.

Is there a participation fee?

No. Registration, submission, and voting are free for everyone.

Which Moolre APIs are in scope?

The event is anchored around Collections, Disbursements, and USSD. You're free to use the rest of the Moolre toolkit too — the more creative the integration, the better your chances at the Best Integration Award.

When does registration close?

Registration stays open for the first six weeks, from June 1 through mid-July 2026. Public voting begins immediately after, running through to the pitch series in August.
