Since 2017, Ghana has fought illegal mining with Operation Vanguard, Operation Halt II, and now NAIMOS. Every operation follows the same pattern: devastation becomes visible, a task force deploys, the troops leave, the miners return. Enforcement starts after the damage is done because detection has always come too late. What EcoHealth does. We scan Ghana's mining belt from orbit every Monday, automatically. A CNN we trained from scratch on thousands of labeled Ghanaian mining sites reads Sentinel-2 satellite imagery and flags new galamsey activity within days of ground-breaking, at roughly 90% accuracy. Every detection over 5,000 so far is published on a free public map with GPS coordinates, confidence score, and a year-by-year satellite comparison that makes the damage undeniable. Any citizen, journalist, or agency can request an on-demand scan of any town in Ghana and receive a report link in under an hour. How we leverage Moolre. Two integrations, both live in production: (1) Collections: donations are collected through Moolre's payment-link API with the Web POS checkout embedded directly in our site, taking mobile money on every network; (2) SMS: detection reports are delivered to any phone in Ghana through Moolre's SMS API, with email/SMS preference chosen by the requester.
